Ed I don't doubt that these could be training guns. I can remember these props being used for parade holster duty in the late 1960's and early 1970's... Probably also for drill teams and ROTC formations. Hard to sneak off campus with an M-1 or M-14 rifle, but handguns were small enough to be pilfered.
