Interesting Info about the sear safety. I don't think I'm up for any attempt at disassemby! I can barely open the toggle assembly or get it to close once I have opened it. I have figured out that the only way to close it is to take out the magazine first- is that normal? Also I'm guessing you gentlemen would classify my gun as a "collector" as opposed to a "shooter"? Dad kept it loaded at his bedside until now as self-protection but said he hadn't actually fired it for 15 or 20 years. But he would still take it out and lovingly admire it and clean it and show it off to visitors for the sake of conversation. The box of shells he included look to be at least 30 years old.. (to me at least).
