Picked up a P.38 hardshell a couple of Tulsa shows ago marked cgu 40 and Waffen Amted 47. Tt's not for a CZ 38 and never had anything but a P.38 in it. The underlying brown color is showing through the black dye but otherwise, it's complete and solid. Haven't had one this early in a good ten years. Of course, it isn't stamped P.38.

The maker mark on your holster, the "bearskin/oakleaf/9" is for Christof Neuner, Klagenfurt. The waffenampt should be "WaA938." Neuner used this WaA number from 1942-1943. In 1941, they used WaA757. This maker did make P39t holsters as well, but they were dated 1940, and used "WaA757." Matt ![]() |
