Not really, no. That info has been on the back of my mind for so long that I truly can't remember if I read it or if I was only told about it.

I'm from a country that used the Luger as a military sidearm for far more years than the Germans did (1909 to 1961, and up as far as 1974 as a secondary pistol). So, I may have got that info from older army buddies.
