Luger problems ?

I would suspect magazine first. And, possibly the mainspring is a bit too strong.

A few questions to help diagnose:

1. What magazine are you using, original or aftermarket?

2. Does it always fail to hold-open on last round?

3. You mention the problem occurs mostly on last round, suggesting intermittent malfunctions before last round. Can you describe those other malfunctions and their frequency?

4. Did you replace the mainspring or magazine spring? Just asking; too soon to know if replacement is necessary.

Sorry for so many questions - but in my experience the details matter to determining cause/correction.
