And it must have been this dealer that had the trouble to reorganize all the numbered parts on these pistols. It was common practice in the Navy to swap parts trying to get a better trigger pull and even better reliability.

Luckily it was a small contract with dedicated serial numbers.

Army M909 in .30 Luger. Delivered from 1909 to 1910 (before the 10th October republican revolution) should have a Crown over an intertwined M2 (for Manuel II, the last King of Portugal 1908/1910) over the chamber. My specimen however has been defaced. That, to most collectors, would make it a shooter, to me it's just part of my Country's history.
In spite of having been defaced all numbers match and it's in very good original condition.
