yes, big threads on the CMP forums. I am surprised at how adamant folks are? Its like the CMP is the only place to get a 1911A1?
$1000 seems a lot for a rack grade, last year I got a nickled 1911 and a Rem Rand for $1200 at auction, for both! Since you are not sure what you are getting, I thought that the M1 Garand - Field - Rack - Service - prices would make more sense. We'll see... |

I know this does not concern me at all, of course, still $1K for a "rack grade" 1911 is not cheap, and apparently they will have to inspect and repair all the 1911 before selling them, but if I had to pay that much probably I wouldn't like anybody to replace with new aftermarket parts.
