Mind I wouldn't put myself in front of a 9mm not even at the distance of half a mile and this video is quite self explanatory, still if I had to choose perhaps would prefer to fight against an old luger instead of a full loaded AK47, at least in theory.

The Luger was a secondary weapon. The main weapon this particular fighter was carrying was a FN FAL. (A large number of ISIS fighters are armed with American M16A4's in reality besides Kalashnikovs - with most sidearms being Glock 19's) It would have been most likely used as a backup weapon, or in the case of ISIS a weapon for summarily executions. I'll include some pictures uploaded directly to the sight in time.
