Very interesting....it seems there's a very short period in which the cartridge case expands and the gases pass by the bullet before it fully seats itself into the rifling. I've heard that before in theory, as a cause of plain lead based bullets leading the bore right ahead of the chamber as the gases melt a small part of the bullet base.
