I have two full autos, both West Hurley guns. An M1928 and a M1A. They are both a chore to fire with aimed shots off the shoulder, especially the M1928 with a full 100 round drum!!
I can take my MP40 and regularly hit 32 out of 32 bowling pins at 100 Yards using single shots, as well as break skeet targets thrown up on the berm. It would have been simple for a trained soldier to hit man-sized targets out to the limit of the 9mm round, (200 yards) with the MP40. It is inherently very accurate for an open bolt gun. |
