He is going to be really disappointed to learn that the frame cannot be made of aluminum or brass. The frame "ears" that the toggle uses to unlock take an incredible pounding and will self destruct during the firing cycle as the toggle knobs lunge rearwards...

I would comment on the forum, but I am not a member and don't want to join just to provide the warning. It is obvious that the author/designer knows nothing about Luger engineering and mechanical forces necessary for functioning.

If anyone is a member of that forum, I would advise the builder to be a safe distance from his pet project the first few times the trigger gets pulled. Even hardened and anodized aluminum is unsuitable for this purpose. Brass, even less so... both are too soft for this job.
