I have been told this is a pre WW2 pistol (supposaly un-shot). Any and all comments will be appreciated.

According to this site, your pistol was made in 1930. http://www.tague.at/pistolen/en_index.htm

You might want to post the photos on the Walther forum:

PPK's grips wrap around and meet at the backstrap. The grip is also shorter as it holds one less round. The confusion often lies in the thousands of "hybrids" Interarms introduced with the PPK/S, which had a PPK slide but a PP frame. This was done to get around the 1968 Firearms Act restrictions on frame height.

I am disappointed in the NRA Disassembly Handbook - their pic makes the PP look about 3/4" longer than it actually is.

Very nice. This one (made in the second year of production) has a 90 degree safety lever (later changed to an angled one).

Older model PPs where a smidge shorter than modern ones and so were older model PPKs.

I would also consider contacting Walther, as they have a fair amount of surviving records. If this was a factory engraved pistol, which the records would show, it would add considerably to the pistol's value.

Having hard time getting Email German address for Walther. Would like to include a photo or two to prove ownership. Any suggestions? Hugh
