The widow gave him "an old pistol", which turned out to be a WW1 1911 in a tattered mailing box from Rock Island Armory. If free 1911 can happen, why not a $325 Luger? Thanks Olle, now my day is going to be completely ruined just thinking of the possibilities. It had occurred to me that the ad could have been placed by a family member of a deceased, previous owner and they had no knowledge or interest in firearms.
