Anyone know the whereabouts of a simple design diagram/picture on the net illustrating the parts of a Luger holster?

"Police Lugers" by Ed Tinker and Dwight Gruber has a detailed chapter on Luger design, construction, and evolution, provided by Jerry Burney lugerholsterrepair.

![]() That sounds like a splendid idea!!! ![]() Graph paper with 1/2" squares should work; you'll probably/surely have to spread the main body over two sheets, the flap, magazine pouch, straps etc can all be put on separate sheets. ![]() Your holster templates would make a splendid addition to John Sabato's Luger Blueprint CD!!! ![]() (Be sure to measure thread gauge and estimate length, whether waxed or unwaxed; any metal parts such as buckles, etc)...

It is not that simple. The forming of the holster body and especially the dishing of the cover flap and the holster toe were done on special mandrils and are an art form to get right.

Michael, really, that is exactly what the "Police Lugers" holster chapter is all about! You can order the book from Ed Tinker, right here on this Forum.

![]() But as for saving money...Is it really appropriate to discuss 'saving money' and Lugers in the same sentence??? ![]()

Michael, Shoot me your email and I will show you about the forming of holster bodies..Took me months to figure it out and perfect it but it's nothing you could really put on paper..But as Dwight indicates it's been put on paper..demensions and such.
