P.08s manufactured by Mauser in 1940 had a toggle code of 42.
Thus for a correct, 1940 code 42 pistol, a code 42 armorer's replacement would be correct. But, perhaps its the photography, but your magazine with a code 42 stamp appears to be plated. It should have a blued body. The last plated body magazine was made in 1936 and an armorer's replacement for that time frame would have be marked S/42. Not to say that its impossible but certainly out of the norm. A 1940 dated P.08 would not have a S/42 toggle code. John |
