Years ago I had my beloved artillery shooter break in about the same place. Back then LugerDoc had one for the princely sum of $175, so I was (eventually) back in business. Never fired it once it broke until the upper was replaced. I probably kept the broken part around, just cuz...

I agree, wholeheartedly, with all of the above. This Luger barrel extension/receiver is unsafe to fire. The 9mm round is a high pressure round and stresses the toggle train and receiver. The amount of steel in that area is small, and in my opinion, is unrepairable FOR SHOOTING.......it could be repaired for "looks".
