Talking about cal .45 Auto in revolvers, some years ago I wanted to buy myself a S&W "625 Jerry Miculek" revolver 4" barrel cal 45 ACP, but I didn't go that much overboard for it. Call me "difficult" if you want, but to me the 45ACP can only be fully enjoyed it in a gooooood traditional, classic, 1911 without frills. By the way in the meantime I joined also the above mentioned Colt forum!

The S&W Mod 25, and 625 are some outstanding revolvers. A shooting buddy has a 625 with a 6in bbl. and a 2X scope. That thing will consistently shoot one ragged hole at 25 yards.
You can never go wrong with purchasing a good quality 2nd generation Colt SAA. If that is what you want, then settle for no less. I wouldn't consider selling my early Colt SAAs. |
