That sounds awfully hot to me. I handload for my 30 Luger handguns, and I use some Hornady 86gr FMJ in some of them. I try to keep my loads around 1050-1150FPS. I would not be interested in running those handloads through my Lugers.....just my opinion. There have been a couple of handloaders on this forum that did load to that velocity.....I believe one was Hugh Clark(grip restorer).
I tried some of the JSP bullets to load, and my Lugers didn't like them and I had FTF problems. I stick with the FMJ. Again, I am giving you MY experiences, and other folks will give you theirs. |
