Kind of the opposite of what is happening with those WW II P-38's up in Iceland (or Greenland or wherever)...They were landed & abandoned on a glacier and have gradually been iced over to 100' or so depth IIRC...Last I read, a team had dug through the ice and was melting & pumping the ice/water away to try to recover at least one of the four planes...I think they got one out...
