I think you gentlemen are being generous with that side plate. I find it much too crude to be a factory made part.
I suggest a home made replacement part. A photo of the side plate interior would be of further help in establishing its pedigree. |

I bought a similar raw casting a couple years back...GB or eBay, I forget which...It is undrilled, which is why I haven't used it...yet...
