I've got a few hundred of these, as well, but haven't found the time to have fun handloading with them yet. All of the original DWM bullets I've miked were just at .309. Why the Germans decided to shoot undersized bullets out of both their 7.65 (.311 actual groove diameter) and 9mm (.358 actual groove diameter) remains a total mystery to me. One thing is for sure and for certain; a .355 FMJ bullet or a .356 cast bullet, properly loaded, will, indeed, shoot like the devil out of that .358 Luger barrel!!! Sieger |

I'm using Hornady .308 86 gr. jacketed SP bullets made for 30 Mauser in my 30 Lugers with good results. The powder is HP-38.
The big trouble is finding 30 Luger brass; so I'm going to convert some 30 Mauser brass to 30 Luger. Will do a separate post with the results later. Bill
