Customs can be such a pain in the backside. even with non firearms. My father imported an English Myford Lathe and needed a broker, for one thing it was shipped to LA instead of San Francisco, we lived in the East Bay at that time. When I was into Live Steam I once imported a Boiler and wished I had used a Broker as the custom agent did not have a rate, he finally put in under "Toys" and everyone was happy. You think Lugers cost a lot of money try Live steam, I am now living on SS disabily and have sold all my Live Steam locomotives. However, the nearest track is 250 miles away as I now live in TX. CA too costly to Live there any more.
