Excellent idea! I had deleted several of my posts for that very reason.

Here's a scan from the last Jantz catalog I have. Jantz and Texas Knifemakers Supply both have a good assortment of horn to choose from.

I mentioned that horn & bone both are moisture aware. there was an old thread in the Buck forum about a custom knifemaker in New Orleans who made a really nice Bowie-type knife (or Tennessee toothpick, whichever you prefer) for a guy in Nevada, with horn scales...The Nevada guy was thrilled about it (big $$$ too)...For a couple weeks...Then the scales warped...Seemed they were 'stable' in a humid climate, but dried/shrunk/shriveled in an arid clime...

Anyway, one of the odder ways to stabilize horn/bone that was suggested was to coat/rub in instant glue...(Whatever the proper name is - I don't use it). That new stuff that glues anything to anything. I can't recommend it as I've never tried it - but it was suggested by a knifemaker I respect, so it may be worth a try...

Edit: Super Glue!!! That's what it is!!! Some long chemical name...Cyanocyangilic...Whatever...
