I have had a couple of guns that were dug up out of the ground and one was just as bad if not worse ; and after a very though clean up were in shooting condition --- "but" ugly though . It seems that internally they only rust so far as to fill up the clearance gaps and then kind of stop , and the outside is always the worse .
