I'm building a shooter out of a mixed bag of parts. I'm using a Stoeger receiver that has the American Eagle stamped into the top. I would like to get this restamped so it shows up better. Does anyone do this?

You would best be served by an engraver... it would be almost impossible to re-stamp, even if you had the original die to strike it with... best to you, til...lat'r....GT

Jim, If your Stoeger receiver has nice orig Stoeger import markings on the right side, you might be better off selling it as parts, and getting a more common military receiver for your shooter. Tom

The receiver came with a 30 cal 8" barrel and both had been heavily buffed and reblued already so I imagine it lost most of it's collector value. I looked back through my emails I see that I had you change the barrel to a 6" for me back in May of 08.
