Yep, most likely an Army holster. Yours is very nice. If you ever decide to sell, I have two 1939 Lugers looking for a holster like that.

Default Brown Holster

Thanks to all for the info. The holster is not cut down, the pistol fit well. The tool has a small marking on the front just below the hole. It is an Eagle with folded wings as opposed to the Eagle with spread wing above WaA on the back of the holster. Under the Eagle on the tool are two numbers I can't make out the first on the second number is 3. I will post some picture but the tool mark is so small I need a glass to view it.

Most likely, the first digit you can't read on the Waffenamt stamp on the loading tool is a 6.

Default Additional Holster Pictures

Hi,
I bought two 1939 Lugers in the 60's and each came with a holster and tool. Neither appear cut down, while the brown holster show very little wear you will see that the black one has quite a bit. The tool in the black holster has no markings, the brown holster does.
