The grips are not the originals..replacements I don't like the large 60 mistamped on the sideplate. I am suspicious of a replaced part here.

I would say while the unit mark is a real plus the pistol has been monkeyed with just enough to affect value some considerable bit.

the 60 on the sideplate isn't that large may just be a bad picture. I do have another set of old grips for it. but they don't apear to mach each other. one is dark and one is lighter. The magazine in the gun is definately a replacement the other one is much older but has no markings. Yea the unit mark is pretty neat.

Ok i just pulled out the old grips one side has a 60 and a heart on the inside. The other side doesnt apear to match has what appears to be a crown a C and 42 or 43 stamped inside.

I forgot I had the other set of grips I didn't realize they had anything to do with the value.

I inherited this and some other guns from my grandfater he probably replaced the grips. He liked to tinker but saved everything. That made me smile and laugh. We target shot a lot. We only ever shot this gun once ant it worked flawlessly. I never really liked it but I don't think I could ever sell it. I don't know much about Lugers but have been curios lately.
