Or it was a grandfather on their way to visit their grandchildren and forgot it was in their bag, so they left it behind ![]() Note - 'even operable' Its probably a training gun for their guards during practice runs. Ed

Has anyone ever seen a Replica....or even a demilled version of the French Foreign Legion Sub Machine Gun....the MAT-49.....I saw one for sale last year on a site for over...$25,000......would love to just have a Replica........even a Resin Model...........just wondered if anyone has ever run across one...........Danke......Hans Fischer

Look here http://www.zib-militaria.de/epages/6...on=ViewProduct. Whats nice about these is the receiver is left intact and the barrel and bolt are altered so it cant not be fired; alas, you can't get it state side due to BATFE restrictions. Just thought I'd post it to let you know they are out there. If that other MAT was 25 grand it must have been transferable operational gun and not demilled. G57 |
