OK... If you are willing, let's try this... As you are running IE 8...

Open Internet Explorer - and CLICK ON THIS LINK: http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
Next select CUSTOM and scan
If a Root Certificates update is listed (possibly in the Optional Software updates category on the left-hand side of the scan results window), install it...

As well - it *could be* that you have some other AV program on your computer, which is still held in your browser sessions - BUT - we'll get to that in a while, OK??
