Personally, I could live with that amount of pitting easily. It's not a deal breaker and I find your pistol a good representative of the early military Lugers. When I see such "issues" I try to remember that these pistols were not meant as drawer queens, but were issued to frontline soldiers and were carried in muddy trenches a century ago. Kind of scars...
