Yes, I agree the name "Scrap Iron" does not instill a high level of confidence in me for that seller.
I also understand that the term "Black Widow" was just assigned by luger collectors over the years. Same as 1914 Navy or 06/24 Bern. But, back to my original question : isn't it agreed upon by luger collectors that only the 2-digit (41 or 42) BFY's with original blued parts and original back grips are what is known as a "Black Widow" ? Otherewise, I think chaos and anarchy would rule and lots of guns with black and brown grips could be called Black Widows (or even Brown Widows...). |
