Hi John, You have a very interesting 1906 Navy that saw service in two Navies, the Imperial and the Weimar. In 1921 it was shortened to 4" and given the Weimar Navy N1950 property mark on it's grip strap. This signifies that it was assigned to the North Sea fleet based at Wilhelmshaven. Your gun is particularly interesting because it's original rear sight was retained and because the original barrel was shortened rather than replaced. Jan C Still devotes a chapter to these guns in "Weimar Lugers".
