From your description you probably have a Model 1908 Commercial, an interesting and desirable variation (as far I know). The serial number range and BUG roofs are the giveaways. The letters you mentioned are probably factory inspectors marks and their meaning is lost.
Pictures will surely help to a more precise assessment about condition and value.
