New acquisition 1906 Navy

There are some signs of touching up or dressing up of the bluing: the barrel and toggle train are somewhat too nice looking so as not to match the entire gun. Plus someone who assisted in pricing the gun, for the seller, noted some hint of bluing touch up. The bluing appears to be a really good job. I wonder if anyone on this forum might have done it. The seller was from the Los Angeles area. Also, one grip is not a match. At first glance it appears to match but an 0 is really a 9. The number is 42XX; first issue, altered, I.T.D. 51 - unit number.

What affect are the bluing and number being off on the FMV?? Any comments??
I expect to post some pictures in a short while.
