Oh Lord, something else for me get interested in. I am sooo weak when it comes to this type of thing. So far, I don't own a Govt. size 1911 in 9mm/38Super. I am more interested in a Commander size 9mm. After a 15 months wait, and more than a couple of phone calls, I received my BarSto barrels in 30 Luger for a Browning Hi Power and a Colt Detective originally in 40 S&W. It was worth the wait, just to get them. I have fitted the new barrel to the BHP, and finally found the correct recoil spring rate for reliable function with both 85gr FMJ, and 93gr FMJ. What a kick, and scary accurate. I plan to start on the Colt Detective project next, and hopefully get it up and running soon. Wish me luck!! Obviously, I reload for the 30 Luger cartridge, and can afford to shoot it all that I want. |
