Bill..This is a pretty ambitious project..WW2 boxes are considerably different than WW1 boxes in the small details.

I have a printing another printer did for my Friend..I will send you a page so you can show it to your printer.

I believe the dimensions of the actual boxes are much the same..I will see if I can get Ellie to get it into tomorrow's mail. She has it addressed and says to open the envelope carefully!

I am very interested in such a project but I have too many irons in the fire at present. I wouldn't take it on without wanting to do it right. I believe it could be done with some attention to detail and a little effort.

The boxes I am sending have the inserts and labels..The labels are incorrectly printed on a glossy photo grade paper. They need to be printed on a fairly rough rag paper with an offset press not a modern printer.

The WW1 boxes also have a perforated steel edging on the bottom. On the original box I have I could not for the life of me figure out how it attaches to the cardboard. If someone has a box remnant that could be closely inspected for details..that would help. Then the problem of finding this steel material is another conundrum.

The other little detail needed to complete the box is going to be the opener strap. It is placed underneath the glued on label..a coursely woven strip of linen..

So like anything else .. there are many facets to this diamond in the rough!
