Took my new StG44 to the range today and I was quite pleased. Shot around 250 rounds of various HV 22LR ammo - Winchester, CCI Mini Mags, Remington, & Federal American Eagle and I had only one failure to chamber a round (it got pinched during the feed). It doesn't seem to be picky about the ammo at all. Like other comments I read, it shot a bit low, but that was quickly remedied by adjusting the sight.
It drew much interest from the folks there and I can't begin to tell you how much fun it was to shoot. Pure and simple - it's a blast! Very happy with this firearm. - David |

Did you get to see it? I read a statement (straight from GSG, IIRC) saying that they were going to add a dummy silencer to make the barrel 16" (just like they did on the MP5s). Sounds like a total turnoff to me, I would rather see a permanently folded stock... Or why not an SBR version?

Apparently GSG had a prototype MP40 at this years Shot Show in 9mm caliber. They have submitted one/some to BATFE for their o.k. It will be offered, if approved, as a pistol sans stock, but if you get the SBR paperwork, they will sell you the folding stock. They are quoting a possible MSRP of $500. Might just be most interesting, to say the least. |
