Kenyon's research and data is over 40 years old. His '1920 commercial', '1923 commercial' designations are backwards and confusing.
Jan Still's 'Weimar Lugers' got it right when he renamed them 20 DWM commercial (made in 1920, serial range #75000 - #92000) and then Alphabet DWM commercial starting in 1921. This quote is from 'Weimar Lugers' It is really quite simple... (Luger Commercial Serial Range) "Between 1900 and 1942 a continuous serial range was used for Lugers by DWM, DWM-BKIW and last by Mauser."
