With the large diameter of the lid shown, it might be a problem using it to get the last couple of round into mag using it; but certainly better than nothing. I guess that the standard German loading tools, didn't appear until the military acceptance in 1908? Comments? TH

The German loading tool was never used in the Swiss military. The screwdriver, the cleaning rod plus brushes and the grip handle lid did the same thing.

I tried it out with the lid and it works well till the last cartridge as it slides off center when fully down.
