I guess that the US dealer who had a large number of 'cheap' P08 pistols marked with Death Heads in the late 1950s was right after all. It did enhance the market value

Not at the moment. We will be meeting with Reinhard Kornmayer in juli, and I will ask him about the specifics of this story. Forum member MRerick will be there as well, including video equipment. Perhaps we can even get a confirmation on video
![]() The pistols were marked in Germany, by a German gun smith apprentice who came forward with this statement a couple of years ago to some researchers who, like Mr. Kornmayer, worked for german gun magazine DWJ. |

This will be very interesting, especially if any serial number record exists of exactly which pistols were so marked.
