Alex, Note that the side plate for these Mauser Lugers is very hard to match. Mauser stamped the inside of the plate with a number that relates to the first two digits of the pistol's serial number. They stamped the outside with the last two digits. That means that one side plate in 10,000 is correct for a pistol.
They did this because this is a precision fit part, and a critical part of the trigger mechanism. Marc
