Is it unusual for a between the wars commercial Luger to have the shoulder stock lug ground off? Looking at a pretty nice one in the $900 range and am wondering if the lug having been ground off is a deal breaker.

Serial number? Lazy or upright c/N? Caliber? Pictures? A Luger whose stock lug has been removed privately is a $400 shooter. There are other possibilities depending on the answers to the querys.

If you KNOW the stock lug has been ground off...I agree with Dwight. $400 shooter.
