Gentlemen,

You're all most probably correct; but still, the grill bothers me. Yes, it's a Ford product, but could it not be a Mercury? And, possibly, a '39, '40, '41 or '46? (I was so young then, born in '44; my memory fails at this late date.) My favorite uncle, young blade he at the time, had a '46 Mercury and I always thought the grill looked like an athletic supporter.
