World of Lugers Fun 4 Me
Ralph is holding my new mint 1916 all matching including magazine 1916 Navy. It looked like it had never been handled let alone fired. This Luger has found a new home.

Re: We have RON WOOD to thank for the white gloves!
Ron brought the nice cotton gloves (WAY nicer for extended periods) I brought the cheesy latex ones for backup. I would like to thank everyone for respecting Ralph's fine firearms with these, seems like it went without a hitch! Thor

About Gloves and Ron....
Now - Thor - all that snapping of the Latex gloves made me a tad "shy" - I dunno why...?? Must be psychosomatic reaction to something..??
Anyway - Ron did bring the cushy cotton gloves - but as well, brought an incredible array of early Lugers, which were all in 99+ condition. Even a consecutively serialized Lugers were in Ron's case. Ron - thanks so much for bringing both those minty Lugers and the gloves!!! (BTW: after seeing pieces from Ron's collection, I've got my eye on a certain early Luger as well - yep, Bill M. has it right "diversification of the collection" ) Thanks Ron..!!! |

Lets not talk about Rons babies..
I was very impressed and he made sure he spread his knowledge! Answered many questions and let us look and drool over them.

Re: Lets not talk about Rons babies..
Thanks guys!! At this point in life it is my priviledge and responsibility to pass on to the next generation what little knowledge I have have accumulated over the years. I make mistakes, but for the most part, I am extending what I have learned from my mentors. In rememberance, I frequently quote the teachings of Mr. John Morgan, who taught me a wealth of information on early Lugers and admonished me to "acquire the best I could afford". I encourage all Luger collectors, old and new, to read every available reference you can find on Luger history and development. The Luger colletor's best arsenal against a bad investment is a comprehensive knowledge of the "old timers" who have walked the path before you. God bless you all, and good collecting!!
