The "blown" breech block shown above is not an uncommon problem caused by excess pressure on the FP, which acts as a piston to knock out the missing chunk of the rear of BB. As Thor mentioned above, it will be cheaper on a mismatched luger, to just replace the BB. On a few ocassions on matching lugers, I've had the rear of the BB welded up, but the hard part is getting the excess weld out of the channel in which the retainer turns. TH
