I also welcome LugerMan to the Forum. Hopefully, Eugene will post more often and share some of his expertise with us.

I am responding about my restoration with Lugerman. I did get my item back. The work was very well done, so on that front I am quite happy. So for those of you who have more patience than me, his work was VERY EXCELLENT, that cannot be refuted.

That said, I view the experience as unfortunate. Wondering is the stressful part, not waiting. Therein lies the difference. While proper restoration is no doubt an art, rare art at that, it's a service too .... I've been buying since 1984...a long time...and only now turning to resoration of years of parts collected along the way. For now, I feel I lack somewhere to take them...that's the unfortunate part (especially given how well mine were done). So, a bunch of projects left and hoping to find that right mix of art and service. BUT, some of you will disagree with me insofar as "it's art and you will wait as long as it takes for art to come to fruition"...I'm not there yet. Process aside, I would suggest one would be pleased with Lugerman's work. I wish him future success as his skills are valuable in this hobby. Best of luck.

Thanks for your post alte-elfer. It sounds like you consider the matter resolved. Excellent !

When I'm feeling overwhelmed, I tend to focus on the problem: the work. For a customer, the 'problem' is usually the end results. Same Luger, different perspectives. Its hard to keep that in mind.

I'm very impressed with the constructiveness of the posts of the membership. I can think of other Boards where the discussion would have deteriorated into bickering fairly quickly. Well done.

Default Thanks to all with patience in hart

Hi,
I want to say thanks for the kind word, and for a note about the waiting period.

I am trying my best to make a perfect combination of art + service.

Right now Art wins in my book, service comes as a second priority , and a lot of people are in the dark about the process so far...

But this post illustrates my point perfectly...

Even the people that were not happy with the wait time are happy with the end result.

After all, if you give a new life to a 100 year old gun, and by second life i mean another 100 years of service ... what's another year for getting it there... And I do understand that year may be critical for some ... and not so much fro others.

Thanks for reading.
