Michael..An awful lot goes into your first Luger..Doing it yourself will bring years of memories. Most of us went out..dived into the pool and got the luck of the draw. Some of us have good memories of our first.. some of us bad! Either way it was our first and like our first prom date..I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

It does pay to have a Luger Mentor..I didn't have the Forum way back then but a very fine Luger collector Friend..Howie Nickel of Houston Tx. A WW2 Navy Pilot. I would pester him no end with questions.

But you have the Forum and hundreds of Luger Mentors! Just keep looking and learning..ask questions. Be SURE to look over past posts on the Forum. There are several lifetimes of information in the search part here.
