Much good and accurate advice to you above, but I would have to say that even your photos show that this gun has been heavily buffed. Many surfaces that should be flat or linear are now curved and unsymmetrical... and many edges are not sharp that should be if it were never reblued.

You have a fine looking shooter... not a collectible. Even though it is a real piece of history, you can enjoy shooting it! They are a literally a "blast" on the range... it's accuracy may surprise you even if the bore should not be in real good shape!
