As far as I recall, the markings were originally filled in with a white lead product, rather than painted. Most often, this is restored using a laquer stick, which is removable with solvent, but adheres better than paint. TH

Default Correct type of paint for gesichert??

Hello Guys
Thanks to one and all. I used the Testers 2709 light ivory enamel paint. And it looks very close to the original.
