Default Luger Barrels

Hello,
Over the last several years I bought Luger barrels and parts with the intention of building some shooters for family when I retired. I recently saw a reference to a long frame barrel. I suppose this means there are more than one frame design and that barrels may not be interchangible or maybe the barrel extentions. The barrel extensions that I've bought are all WWll P08 parts while two of the frames are grip safety models, P06. The barrels are different lengths, 4" 9mm, 6" 7.65mm, 4" 7.65mm and 3.75" 7.65mm. The trigger bars are cut different for 06 safety than the 08. Other than that the first one I put together was and 08 upper on an 06 lower. This pistol shoots well, but the upper barrel and extention were original and I didn't notice any long frame vs short frame issues.

For the next project I need to have a barrel installed on a P08 extention. Is there some measurement I can make that will let determine which barrel to use?
Thanks

Aldo, The threaded chamber area on a barrel for a long receiver (all M1900s, M1906 Navys and postwar Mauser Parabellumss) will be 1/8" longer than on your typical PO8 barrels. TH
